Regarding the Passing of  

Mr. Richard Oulahan

The Board of Directors of Esperanza Unida and staff with much respect send our  prayers and condolences to the family of Mr. Richard Oulahan. He will be remembered and missed.  Our own John Anderson, Deputy Director of Programs/Operations, attended the Job/Resource Fair held at the Milwaukee County House of Corrections in Franklin, WI on May 9th.

The Job fair assisted over 300 inmates at the House of Corrections who will be returning to our Communities within the next year.

Milwaukee Common Council Supports Turkey Sister City Initiative

Esperanza Unida Leads International Trade Mission

Milwaukee - The Milwaukee Common Council unanimously voted to support a resolution to establish a Sister City relationship between Manisa, Turkey and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.Esperanza Unida and Turkish community leaders have been working together to move the issue forward for the past several years. 

"History was made last week," said Robert Miranda, executive director of Esperanza Unida. "We are moving forward with our innovative and ambitious plan to create jobs, establish new small businesses and open new markets in another country by linking our business community leaders with Turkey's business leaders."
