¿Qué Pasa? Coffee and Books is a community
non-profit bookstore run by Esperanza Unida.
We carry books in English and in Spanish by a variety of authors,
both fiction and non-fiction. We
are also home to programming tailored to those who live on Milwaukee’s
near south side and the community at large. We provide FREE quality arts
education, literacy programming and a gathering place for the exchange of
ideas. These have included movie nights, book clubs and Spanish-English
conversation tables. At ¿Qué
Pasa?, you can enjoy tea, coffee from Alterra, pastries, juices and snacks
in a relaxed atmosphere.
programming, including but not limited to: storytelling, creative writing, art exhibits and poetry and music performances. ¿Qué Pasa? is also an excellent place to meet with your office or small group. We specialize in ordering hard-to-find books in both English and Spanish.
